The Taxi Drivers Associations in Luanda has announced the suspension of its protest and called for the resumption of activities in the city. This follows after a dialogue held with the Governor of Luanda, Ana Paula de Carvalho. The President of the Alliance of Taxi Drivers of Angola (ANATA) has stated that the protest has been suspended due to Carvalho’s concerns following the unrest on Monday, 10 January 2022. Following the unrest, the taxi associations had condemned the violence that occurred in the Benfica area in Luanda.
