The Yoruba Self-determination Groups’ umbrella body, Ilana Omo Oodua Worldwide, has announced that Yoruba Nation activist Sunday Adeyemo, also known as Sunday Ighoho, has been released by the Government of the Republic of Benin. Ighoho had reportedly been detained in a Benin Republic prison for an estimated 231 days after he had been arrested on 19 July 2021. Details surrounding Ighoho’s release are expected to be announced in due course.
