Six people have died, and several others were abducted following an attack on Monday, 28 February 2022, by the Co-operative for the Development of Congo (CODECO) militia in the village of Gina, about 40 kilometres north of Bunia, in the territory of Djugu. The Civil Society has stated that the people had been ambushed and attacked with several armed weapons, while others fled the area to Lopa and Iga Barriere. This attack comes in revenge for a death of a man by the Zaire self-defence force on 22 February 2022, on the Zibiti-Likidha road section in the territory of Djugu.
