The Ukraine Government has announced its decision to repatriate its 250 peacekeepers deployed in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). The Ukrainian Government’s decision to withdraw its military contingent, including personnel, helicopters and equipment, from the United Nations peacekeeping mission in the DRC (MONUSCO). This follows after Russia began an invasion of Ukraine on 24 February 2022 due to the Russian Armed Forces illegally trespassing on the border of Ukraine that began in 2014.
