The eSwatini Government has announced the receipt of the first two aircraft purchased by the Royal Eswatini National Airways Corporation (RENAC) with the aim of reviving the country’s national airline. The Government has stated that the revival efforts aim to establish direct and indirect employment opportunities for emaSwati and improve tourism development in the country, among others. The revitalisation efforts are also expected to increase the country’s tax revenue, increase exports, while also increasing domestic production (GDP). Through the new aircraft, the airline is scheduled to provide direct flights to new destinations directly from the King Mswati III International Airport, including Harare, Durban, Johannesburg and Cape Town.
