Glocare Pharma Manufacturing PLC has inaugurated its pharmaceuticals investment project at the Kilinto Industrial Park in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The Ethiopian Industrial Parks Development Corporation (IPDC) has stated that the factory, installed by Glocare Pharma, is the first pharmaceuticals manufacturing company to commence production at the park. The investment is expected to add significant value to the sector by substituting imports, contributing to exports, establishing additional employment opportunities, improving access to medicine and disseminating knowledge and skills. The company has the capacity to produce 600 million tablets and 7 million caps of medicine daily. IPDC Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Sandokan Debebe, State Health Minister Ayele Teshome, Indian Ambassador to Ethiopia Robert Shetkintong and officials from Glocare Pharma have attended the inauguration ceremony.
