Protest expected at the Union Buildings on Friday, 06 May 2022, by the Fire Professions Council of South Africa. Demonstrators are expected to submit a memorandum that demands permanent employment of all the reservists with more than three months. The marchers will gather from 09H00 at the corner of Kgosi Mampuru Street and Madiba Street. The marchers will march eastbound on Madiba Street until they reach the Union Buildings. Roads that will be affected include Kgosi Mampuru Street, Sophie De Bruyn Street, Bosman Street, Paul Kruger Street, Thabo Sehume Street, Lillian Ngoyi Street, Sisulu Street, Du Toit Street, Nelson Mandela Drive, Steve Biko Street, Hamilton Street and Zeederberg Street. Demonstrators are expected to disperse at the Union Buildings at 13H00. Motorists are advised to be vigilant during the march. Police will be deployed to monitor the march.
