Protest expected at the Union Buildings on Friday, 29 July 2022, by the African Nation Revolutionary Youth Group (ANRYG) and Party of Action (POA). The demonstrators will be marching due to poor service delivery, high fuel prices and load shedding. The marchers will gather from 10H00 at the open space in Kgosi Mampuru Street and Madiba Street, Pretoria Central. The route of the march is from the open space at Kgosi Mampuru Street and Madiba Street to Madiba Street and straight to the Union Buildings. Intersections will be affected, inlcude Kgosi Mampuru Street, Sophie de Bruyn Street, Bosman Street, Paul Kruger Street, Thabo Sehume Street, Lillian Ngoyi Street, Sisulu Street, Du Toit Street, Nelson Mandela Drive, Steve Biko Road, Hamilton Street and Government Avenue. The demonstrators are expected to disperse from Union Buildings at 14H00. Tshwane Metro Police officers will be deployed to monitor the march and all affected streets. Motorists are advised to avoid affected streets and use alternative routes. Alternative routes include Nana Sita Street, Francis Baard Street, Stanza Bopape Street, and Struben Street.
