SOUTH AFRICA – KWAZULU-NATAL – CAMPERDOWN – 06 JUL 2022 (16H50)

July 12 - July 14

The South African National Roads Agency SOC Limited (Sanral) has announced that there will be rolling road closures from Tuesday, 12 July, until Thursday, 14 July 2022, due to construction work. The temporary road closures will be implemented in both directions between Umlaas Road interchange and Cato Ridge interchange. This will allow engineers to be able to commence with the blasting of rocks that were encountered near the Camperdown Overpass bridge. The rocks need to be removed to allow for the construction of the stormwater system and the pavement layers. This is part of Sanral’s ongoing upgrades of the N3 Section 2 from the Cato Ridge Interchange to the northern end of the Dardanelles Cutting. Work on this project began in April 2021 and is expected to be complete by May 2023. Advisory – Follow Company travel security advisories, refer to media and social media alerts where applicable, and adhere to company travel security policies at all times. (JK)
