The Ghana Railway Company Limited (GRCL) has announced that the Accra-Tema passenger train service is scheduled to resume full operations from Monday, 14 March 2022. This follows as the train service had previously been suspended for two years since March 2020 due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. GRCL Acting Personnel Manager Ernest Ahene has stated that the company has conducted a series of successful test runs and plan to resume full commercial operations by next week. However, Ahene has stated that the exact date for the resumption of operations is yet to be communicated.
