Al-Shabaab has claimed responsibility for the killing of Kenyan Deputy Chairman Mohamed Abdi Ahmed of the Omar Jilaw village in Mandera, North Eastern Kenya. This follows after an attack by the Al-Shabaab insurgents targeting Kenyan Administrative Officers. The Kenyan Police have launched a search operation in the area to apprehend the suspects.
