More than 30 Ethiopian nationals have embarked on a hunger strike at the Buruburu Police station in Nairobi in demand of their immediate repatriation. The Ethiopian nationals have embarked on a strike since Tuesday, 01 March 2022, demanding that they be sent back to their country as ordered by the court. This follows after the Ethiopian nationals were arrested from a house in Donholm while waiting to be smuggled to South Africa. Nairobi Deputy Police boss James Mugera has confirmed the issue and stated that a resolution would be made.
