The Government of Madagascar has requested the extradition of two Malagasy nationals detained in Moroni, Comoros, after attempting to smuggle gold worth 50-kilos at the Hahaya airport, in Comoros. Investigations are currently ongoing, whereas several arrests have been issued following the case. Madagascar seeks to recover the two nationals and the 50 kilos of gold. Furthermore, a delegation of the Ministry of Justice will be expected in Comoros.
