Improvised explosive device (IED) bombing reported north of the central city of Mopti located in central Mali. The United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali (MINUSMA) has stated that two UN Peacekeepers have sustained fatal injuries, and four others are wounded following a roadside bombing incident. MINUSMA Spokesperson Olivier Salgado has confirmed that a supply convoy had driven over an IED north of Mopti. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack. However, the Islamic State – West Africa Province (ISWAP) terrorist group is known to be active in the region.
