The National Directorate of Water Resources Management (DNGRH) has forecasted an increase in storm water in the hydrographic basins of the Licungo and Zambezi rivers and the coastal basins of the provinces of Zambézia, Nampula and Cabo Delgado. The DNGRH has urged the population living along the coast of Mozambique to remain in high and safe areas and avoid crossing flooding rivers. This comes as the DNGRH had been informed that in the northern region, the reservoirs of Nampula, Nacala, Mugica and Chipembe record filling of 100.00%, 100.00%, 91.23% and 100%.
