The Presidency has announced that Mozambican President Filipe Nyusi is scheduled to embark on a working visit to South Africa today, 11 March 2022. Minister in the Presidency, Mondli Gungubele, has stated that the visit is expected to improve mutual, regional and continental cooperation between the two countries. Gungubele has further noted that President Nyusi’s visit also aims to reinforce bilateral relations and cooperation between South Africa and Mozambique in political and economic fields. The Presidency has stated that Nyusi is set to attend the third session of the Binational Commission of Cooperation (BNC) between the two countries. The two Heads of State are also expected to engage in conversations regarding regional, continental and global issues of mutual interest with a focus on peace, security and economic development matters.
