Tropical Cyclone, Gombe, is forecasted to make landfall in northern Mozambique in Nampula province, south of the port of Nacala on Saturday, 12 March 2022. The United States (US) Navy’s Joint Typhoon Warning Centre (JTWC) has recorded that Gombe has passed the northern Madagascar on Tuesday, 08 March 2022, with a wind speed recorded at 56 kilometres an hour (km/h). Gombe’s wind speed is forecasted to reach 70 km/h by Friday, 11 March 2022. Heavy rainfall is expected to occur in the coastal provinces of Cabo Delgado, Nampula, and Zambezia on Friday.
