The National Secretary of the Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC) of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator John James Akpanudoedehe, has announced his resignation from the party. Akpanudoedehe’s resignation follows the recent change of leadership within the party. This follows after President Muhammadu Buhari dismissed Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni as the Chairman of the APC CECPC. Niger State Governor Sani Bello has reportedly since taken over the party’s affairs.
