The Nigerian Medical Association (NMA), Oyo State branch, has confirmed the death of two Medical practitioners in the NMA due to Lassa fever. Chairperson of NAN, Ayotunde Fasunla, has stated that the NMA has urged the members of the public to treat all illnesses with caution. According to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), Nigeria recorded 450 cases of Lassa fever and 86 deaths as of 20 February 2022, within the Oyo State, accounts for 13 cases and one death.
