Rwanda Development Board (RDB) has announced that it has penalised 18 hospitals in Kigali for failure to adhere to COVID-19 preventive guidelines. The RDB has stated that ten hospitals have been suspended for up to three months, and had been issued fines between Rwf150,000 and Rwf300,000. The other hospitals had been issued with a warning and fined as well. Furthermore, the RDB has reiterated that all facilities adhere to the health and safety measures to curb the spread of the COVID-19 virus. Violation of set measures will result in fines and sanctions to non-compliant businesses and clients.
