Life Care Phyto Labs has held discussions with the Bold Regains International Limited and the National Industrial Research and Development Agency (NIRDA) to construct a production plant for phytomedicines-narcotics. NIRDA has stated that the project would cost an estimate of between $4-million and $6-million. Life Care Phyto Labs owner, Aanaimuthu Rajendran, has stated that the plant is expected to be operational within six months. Rajendran further noted that 100 types of herb seeds are expected to be produced, while 18 other species will be imported from India. The Head of Research and Development at NIRDA Olivier Kamana, stated that the institution intends to grow medicinal plants over 100 hectares of land. Furthermore, the Director-General of NIRDA, Christian Sekomo Birame, has noted that the company is expected to deliver training to local farmers and facilitate the plants’ establishment in addition to the provided equipment.
