The South African Democratic Teachers Union (SADTU) in Eastern Cape has raised concerns following the lack of adequate learning materials in schools. SADTU has issued formal complaints at the Department of Education about poor school infrastructure, non-payment of general school assistants (GSAs), education assistants (EAs), non-payment of scholar transport and non-delivery of learning and teaching support material. Provincial Education Spokesperson Vuyiseka Mboxela stated that the Department is expected to meet with SADTU to discuss these challenges.
