The Free State Provincial Government has reportedly avoided power outages at various Government buildings. The Spokesperson of Mangaung Metropolitan Municipality’s power utility, Centlec, has confirmed that the two parties agreed to pay monies in arrears. Spokesperson Lele Mamatu stated that the money owed to Centlec by the Provincial Government is more than R200-million. Centlec did institute power outages to some of the Government buildings today, 03 March 2022. However, it has been restored after talks with the Government.
