Protest expected at the United Nations building on Wednesday, 19 January 2022. The Indigenous People of Biafra will be protesting for the United Nations intervention in the release of the Biafra leader who has been arrested in Nigeria. Demonstrators will gather at corner Prince’s park and Francis Baard Street at 10H30. Demonstrators will begin marching from Prince’s park and Francis Baard Street at 11H30, proceed on Francis Baard Street eastbound until they arrive at the United Nations building at corner Sisulu street and Francis Baard Street. The streets that will be affected include Kgosi Mampuru Street, Sophie de Bruyn Street, Bosman Street, Paul Kruger Street, Thabo Sehume Street, Lillian Ngoyi Street and Sisulu Street. Demonstrators are expected to disperse from the United Nations building at 14H00.
