KwaZulu-Natal Premier Sihle Zikalala announced that counterfeit items, valued at R1-billion, has been confiscated in a 12-month operation at the Durban harbour. Zikalala led a delegation at Maydon Wharf and Bayhead today, 13 January 2022, focusing on compliance in the freight and logistics industry. The operation comprised of various government agencies, including the Police, the South African National Defence Force (SANDF), Metropolitan Police, the Road Traffic Inspectorate, the Department of Home Affairs and the Department of Labour.
