The N2 towards Higginson Highway/M1 has been reopened to traffic. Motorists are advised to remain vigilant. This follows after several security companies and the Police responded to information about six armed suspects travelling in a white Mercedes-Benz. A chase ensued between the suspects and officers. The suspects crashed into a truck on the Higginson Highway. The suspects got out of the vehicle and opened fire. Four suspects have been shot and killed. One suspect has been injured. The Police have launched a search operation for the remaining suspect.
