The National Transport Movement (NTM) in Tzaneen has taken the ZZ2 farm company to the Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration (CCMA) on behalf of security personnel, demanding that they be paid accordingly. The matter has been heard before the CCMA today, 14 January 2022. The union is expected to submit their closing statement before Friday, 21 January 2022. NTM union official, Sbongile Xikwambana, stated that the security personnel are being paid the same amount as farmworkers. The security personnel who are working 12-hour shifts are demanding a salary increase as the employer allegedly pays them a seven and a half hour rate.
