The Railway Safety Regulator (RSR), under the stewardship of Transport Deputy Minister, Sindisiwe Chikunga, and the Member of the Executive Council (MEC) for Public Works, are expected to address learners on rail safety today, 10 March 2022, at the Matsulu Community Hall from 09H00. The RSR has identified three schools, Sehlulile Primary, Takheleni Primary, and Sibusisiwe High, as befitting schools to benefit from the campaign in the area as they are near the Matsulu rail line, which is 202 Kilometres (km) starting from Kaapmuiden ending at Phalaborwa. Upon engagement with the schools, it was discovered that two of the schools have previously had learners hit by trains on the same line.
