The new residents forum, known as Dis Nou Genoeg, is expected to apply for an interdict at the Middelburg High Court on 08 March 2022, against the Steve Tshwete Local Municipality, resigned Municipal Manager Bheki Khenisa and striking employees. The group will be interdicting the municipality to restore municipal administrative services to the residents of Middelburg, amongst others. The group will also raise concerns regarding infrastructure damage caused by the strike and a sewer leak that is affecting a local pre-school.
