UPDATE Minister Fikile Mbalula has announced that R45 million has been allocated to the necessary reparation of the N12 road in Wolmaransstad in the North West province. The Minister has also handed over the national road to the South African National Roads Agency Limited (SANRAL) to conduct the necessary repairs. Maintenance work is scheduled to be launched one month from the handover date. (13H30) Transport Minister Fikile Mbalula is currently on the N12 national road at the R504 turnoff in Wolmaransstad. Minister Mbalula is conducting an inspection visit with intentions to assess the state of the national highway. This follows ahead of plans by the Department of Transport to hand over the roadway to the South African National Roads Agency (SANRAL).
