Eskom has announced that technicians are working at the Newgate substation to normalise the electricity supply to Colesburg and Middelburg networks. Eskom added that the power supply will be interrupted to the affected areas on Sunday, 09 January 2022, from 04H00 until 07H00. The interruption will allow the technicians to swing load onto the new transformer. Eskom has stated that updates will be provided to the public as the situation progresses.
