SOUTH AFRICA – NORTHERN CAPE – KIMBERLEY – ADVERSE WEATHER 02 MAR 2022 (23:45)

The South African Weather Service (SAWS) has issued a yellow level 2 adverse weather warning for severe thunderstorms over the eastern parts of the Northern Cape as well as several other areas across the country with effect from Thursday, 03 March 2022. The weather warning is also in effect for the western parts of the North West and Free State provinces, eastern parts of the Eastern Cape, and the southern parts of KwaZulu-Natal. The weather service has stated that persistent rainfall, localised flooding of susceptible roads, low-lying areas and bridges, and localised damage to infrastructure are expected. Residents are advised to remain vigilant and avoid travelling in affected areas.
