President Cyril Ramaphosa is expected to undergo the first vote of no confidence on Wednesday, 30 March 2022. The Cabinet will also undergo a vote of no confidence when separate motions tabled by the Democratic Alliance (DA) and the African Transformation Movement (ATM) are debated in the same sitting. The ATM tabled its motion of no confidence in Ramaphosa in February 2020, however, the matter had been transferred to the Supreme Court of Appeal, which set aside the Minister of Defence and Military Veterans, Thandi Modise decision and deferred the case back to the Speaker, Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula.
