The South African National Roads Agency (SANRAL) has announced that tariffs at the Tsitsikamma tollgate on the N2 outside Plettenberg Bay have increased by 5% as of this week. The adjustments to the fees are part of SANRAL’s annual tariff changes in line with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) as obtained from Statistics South Africa (Stats SA). SANRAL Communications Manager Vusi Mona has stated that the CPI percentage of 5% has been published in the Government Gazette. Mona has further noted that the toll fees are applied to maintain, operate, and improve toll roads and decrease service debt incurred to implement toll road projects.
