President Hakainde Hichilema is expected to officiate the Zambia National Day at the ongoing Expo 2020 Dubai on 20 January 2022. Zambia has been a part of the 192 countries at the Expo 2020 Dubai, which commenced on 01 October 2021 and ends on 31 March 2022. Information and Media Permanent Secretary Kennedy Kalunga has stated that the country is scheduled to hold a Trade and Business Forum under the theme Doing Business in Zambia, aiming to boost trade and investment opportunities in Zambia.
