President Emmerson Mnangagwa has departed the country on a formal three-day state visit to Nairobi, Kenya, to attend the Zimbabwe-Kenya Joint Permanent Commission on Cooperation (JPCC). The JPCC is being held with the aim of enhancing collaboration in various fields between the two countries. During the state visit, Mnangagwa is also expected to evaluate additional opportunities for economic cooperation between the two countries as the Second Republic pursues the engagement and re-engagement agenda. The third session of the JPCC opened in Nairobi on Monday, 07 March 2022, with discussions on the Memoranda of Agreements signed during the preceding JPCC.
